Summary
A humble individual, whom I have been in touch with only through Facebook, had me wanting to have him on an episode for my podcast channel. And to my surprise he accepted it instantly! So fortunate to have him speak and to have conversations about the amazing work he has been doing! So remember to listen to the podcast session as well where he elaborates his work in detail!!
Chanchal is originally from Bengal, but is the second generation of his family settled in Andaman Islands. As he
shares in the podcast sessions, it was from his father that sparked his will to work with the nature, environment, His profession as a Teacher allowed him to come up with creative ways of teaching which were focused on improving the learning process of students. Hence he initiated "coastal green zone'
This initiative to educate aims to help, develop the interactions of young students with their natural environment, eco system and develop leadership qualities.

As we listen and dive deeper into the discussions I learned how Mr.Chanchal aims to fill the generation gap, by having the students come up with Plays, skits, documentations of their surroundings which includes interviewing and interacting with the local people and these findings are finally presented back to the community! Having activities outside concrete walls, allows young minds to be connected with natural environments..
